Insulated glass (IG) manufacturers can now purchase aluminium, steel or Thermobar warm edge spacer bar with pre-applied PIB (Polyisobutylene) primary seal from the UK’s leading supplier of IG components, Thermoseal Group.
Until now the increased demand for high performance dual seal units has meant that IG manufacturers must either purchase PIB application machines or pay staff to apply PIB by hand. Of course, we can sell the PIB tape for manufacturers to apply themselves as well as automated machinery to do the job, but it can actually work out cheaper to buy it pre-applied.”
