Thousands of visitors began flocking to four major construction industry related events that kicked off at Dubai World Trade Centre yesterday.
FM Expo, Windows, Doors & Facades Event, The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show, and Gulf Glass were officially inaugurated by H.E. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, and managing director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
The four co-located exhibitions are the largest and most influential platforms in the Middle East within their respective industries and are expected to attract over 10,000 visitors over three days.
Organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, the shows run until September 27, bringing together more than 400 local and international exhibitors.
“Hundreds of international exhibitors are participating at the four co-located trade shows this year, confirming Dubai as an attractive market, and a premier destination for foreign investment,” said Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director at dmg events.
“At the same time, the increased participation of local companies is a clear sign of the United Arab Emirates’ success in creating a supportive business environment, where enterprises can grow and flourish,”
FM EXPO, Windows, Doors and Facades Event, Gulf Glass and The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show provide professionals from the facilities management, architecture, design, landscaping, and glass industries, with dedicated spaces to network, learn, and source the latest and most innovative products conveniently in one place, at one time.
“In today’s digitalised world, personal interaction is more important than ever to build strong and positive business relations,” said Waugh. “With markets becoming progressively competitive, platforms that effectively respond to the specific needs of industry professionals are crucial to business success.”
Knowledge sharing
All four events feature workshop theatres hosting two high-level conferences and over 100 free to attend educational sessions.
At FM EXPO, the two-day long “Facilities Management Congress Middle East” conference kicked-off today, hosting thought leaders responsible for the region’s landmark projects.
“Thousands of facilities management professionals are gathering at the event to discuss the facility management industry’s major trends and challenges,” confirms Alexis Wheatley, Event Director of FM EXPO.
The “Middle East Facades Summit”, featured at the Windows, Doors & Facades Event, attracted hundreds of delegates hosting a series of keynotes on hot industry topics, including Fire Safety and Building Design.
The region’s only dedicated platform for global consultants, manufacturers and distributors of window, door and facade products, will provide further 16 free to attend and CPD-certified educational workshops on September 26 and 27, while 150 exhibitors will showcase over 1,500 innovative products for Middle East’s projects.
Sustainability, a leitmotif across all events, got its peak at Gulf Glass, the largest flat & container glass event in the region, where the new range of PEL Bottle Crushers was introduced.
The event features over 140 companies from around the world, including suppliers of finished products, glass production technology and machinery, glass processing & finishing solutions, measurement, testing & control technology, tools, replacements and spare parts, as well as auxiliary equipment and fitting.
“With walkability and sustainability becoming progressively important themes in the GCC, public entities, developers, hotels and leisure facilities are increasing the offer of green spaces, driving an unprecedented demand for outdoor design and landscaping projects in the region,” said Josine Heijmans, Portfolio Event Director of The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show.
The only specialised trade event for the landscaping, infrastructure & urban development industry in the region, hosts 11 complimentary and CPD-certified workshops, and showcases the best and latest for public and private outdoor spaces from global and local manufacturers.
