Engineering News-Record (ENR) recently released its “Top 600 Specialty Contractors” list, which includes the largest revenue-generating glazing and curtainwall firms in the country.
The glazing and curtainwall category ranked eighth of 16 trades in terms of revenue share among all specialty trades that were included. The top firms in the category totaled just under $2.1 billion. According to ENR, the segment saw a 53.4-percent increase in revenue compared to the previous year, which was by far the largest percentage jump of any sector included in the list.
Enclos, which was absent from the list last year, was the top glazing company in revenue in 2016 and finished 39th overall. Harmon Inc., which topped last year’s list, was No. 2 in the sector and moved up two spots to No. 78 overall compared to last year.
[Walters and Wolf, which was ranked a top company in past years, isn’t on this year’s list. The company ranked between Enclos and Harmon in USGlass magazine’s list of top glaziers earlier this year. The No. 1 firm in that list, Permasteelisa, is also not present in ENR’s rankings.]
Most of the glazing firms that made ENR’s Top 600 Specialty Contractors list climbed in the overall rankings compared to the 2016 edition.
