Completed in 2014, the Hanover Company’s latest new apartment development, Hanover Post Oak provides the ultimate in luxury living. A few of the many perks include 24‐hour concierge, valet dry cleaning service, a state‐of‐ he‐art fitness center with innovative TechnoGym equipment, executive conference rooms and a private screening room.
The 30‐story tower features one‐, two‐ and three‐edroom plans averaging 1,055 square feet, as well as five penthouse suites. The curtain wall facade over the entrance creates a separation between the residential tower and the amenities below.
The energy performance windows are designed to moderate the amount of light and heat transfer, reducing the building's resource consumption.
Goldray supplied all of the glass panels required to create the decorative glass over the front entrance. The canopy staggers from the rest of the building's facade, acting as a focal point directing individuals to the lobby. Multiple patterns were applied using Goldray's digital ceramic printing process, running the full height of each piece.
The horizontal lines of each pattern vary in thickness, however when displayed together in a dual-row installation they provide character and intrigue. As this was an exterior installation, these panels are insulated units, with the ceramic frit applied to the second surface.
In an effort to reach LEED Silver certification, Hanover Post Oak is 100% powered by renewable resources. Additionally, each unit is equipped with water efficient bathroom fixtures and compact fluorescent lighting. The high efficiency heating and cooling systems ensure the least possible energy waste, with the added benefit of minimal maintenance.
Texas has a reputation for larger than life people, places and ideas; their architecture and design community is certainly no exception. Architectural decorative glass projects can be found throughout the state, from elegant interior designs to extravagant art installations.
