It was prompted by the BAU 2017 AIT innovation prize-winning Series X – a frameless sliding window for complete ease of access.
Strategic partnership
Schüco and Soreg are joining forces with immediate effect. The collaboration will focus on the development, sales and marketing of high-end sliding systems. Soreg creates maximum transparency with Series X thanks to glass fibre-reinforced frames. Market penetration will be bolstered in future by the international sales and brand strength of Schüco.
The building envelope specialist from Bielefeld is already very well positioned in the system market with its new ASE 60/80 sliding system platform and the Panorama Design sliding units.
The collaboration with Soreg will now expand the product portfolio of glass fibre-reinforced frames (GFP/CFP). The optimum properties of the composite materials allow new dimensions in building.
Andreas Engelhardt, CEO and Managing Partner of Schüco International KG, sums it up: “Innovation, quality, design and comfort are are the top priority at Schüco. We have found a strong partner in Soreg, with whom we will be even placed to meet our customers’ needs in the future.”
Alex Brand, owner of SOREG AG, is also enthusiastic: “The strategic partnership will allow us to strengthen our position in the highly competitive market for premium sliding windows.”
SOREG®-glide – Series X:
The large-scale sliding window system offers unique transparency: the profiles are installed in the ground, wall and ceiling, which guarantees a seamless transition between the inside and outside.
The profiles are also glass fibre-reinforced (composite material), giving them excellent stability and outstanding thermal insulation. With the innovative rising and lowering threshold, an automatic function keeps the track closed at all times and guarantees complete ease of access.
The strategic partnership of Schüco and Soreg will be on display for the first time at Swissbau. The two companies will showcase their work at a joint 138 m² exhibition stand (Hall 1.1, Stand C76).
The highlight, as shown by the concept study for Series M, is that carbon fibre-reinforced profiles with face widths of just 16 mm are possible – with the same level of stability and thermal insulation.
The other Schüco system solutions will be exhibited at the Jansen stand (Hall 1.0, D36). Jansen has been an exclusive distribution partner for Schüco systems since 1978 and is the Swiss market leader for metal fabrication systems. Burckhardt Metall Glas GmbH, based in Isernhagen, currently holds the distribution and trademark rights for Soreg in Germany.
