This year’s ICG workshop in Montpellier – the 10th – is made up of two interwoven themes, as well as a series of tutorials, and is aimed at new PhD or Masters student or those who have recently started research in the glass industry.

The 10th ICG workshop, taking place in Montpellier, France, 2-6 July 2018, will have two interwoven themes: the first will overview fundamentals in glass science emphasising structure-property relationships, while the second will focus on bioglasses and glasses for pharmaceutical packaging.
The event will also include a series of tutorials, such as Glass and phase diagrams, Calculating Raman activities, Diffusion coefficient, and Practical aspects on atomistic simulations.
With a rich list of lecturers coming from as far away as Japan and the US, and topics including surface and thin films, Phosphate and borate biomedical glasses , Heat Transfer in Glass-Forming Melts glass-ceramics for biomedical applications, the event is looking to attract new PhD or Masters student or those who have recently started research in the glass industry.
