These singular traits, and maintaining a presence at the leading industry trade fairs around the world -- activities consistently promoted by Gimav -- are the winning cards Italy’s manufacturers are counting on to rise above this moment of difficulty facing the entire sector.
Thanks to the support of Gimav, Italian firms can also be star players in an abundant schedule of international events, key moments for meeting with buyers from around the world, including GULF GLASS in the United Arab Emirates, CHINA GLASS in Shanghai (May 10 – 14), MIR STEKLA in Moscow (June 6 - 9), GLASS BUILD AMERICA in Atlanta (September 12 – 14), and ZAK GLASS TECHNOLOGY INTERNATIONAL in Mumbai (December 8 – 11).
2011 is also the year of VITRUM, the leading international showcase for the world of glass, scheduled to take place in Milan October 26th to 29th. For four days Milan will become the world capital of the glass industry, with a special focus on technologies aimed at energy savings and the exploitation of renewable energy sources, and a center-stage opportunity for all Gimav member companies.
