For the second year, the convention gathers around 20 associations representing the flat glass and glazing industry from all over Europe but also America, Australia and Brazil.
Glass for Europe, as the united voice of the flat glass sector in Europe, is taking an active role in the discussions to bring perspective and momentum and to ensure coherence in national activities in Europe. Bertrand Cazes, Glass for Europe’s Secretary General, gave a speech to that end on how can glass’ numerous added-value to sustainable and healthy buildings be better communicated to the public and decision-makers.
Participants and the specialized press reacted very positively to this speech and to the call for always-improved communication on glass and glazing. For Glass for Europe, the event was also an opportunity to liaise with counterparts from other continents.
Organizers are thanked for their work, the traditional Italian glass tubes and beam making demonstration and the warm welcome to Murano. What a place, full of glass heritage, art, culture and industry to exchange together on how to shape a future environment for a vibrant glass and glazing industry for the future!
