The National Glass Association actively promoted the architectural glass industry by participating in the American Institue of Architects Architecture Expo last week at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
The association takes part in the annual event to broadcast its many resources for the architectural community. NGA’s participation was elevated this year after combining with the Glass Association of North America and utilizing their array of technical knowledge and services.
NGA’s booth theme “Got Questions about Glass Codes? We’ve Got Answers!” resonated with the architects and specifiers in attendance, according to association officials. Urmilla Jokhu-Sowell, NGA’s technical services and advocacy director, and Tom Culp, code consultant, fielded technical codes questions in the booth, including questions on fire-rated glazing, security and safety glazing, dynamic glazing, energy efficiency and jumbo glazing.
NGA’s participation in AIA is part of a concerted, ongoing outreach to the architectural community on behalf of its members.
