A modern waterfront home with floor-to-ceiling transparent or glass walls, which is referred to as the glass house will be sold at an auction on May 6, 2011 by a known auction firm— Concierge Auctions. Located on 435 Ginn Lane, a private 5 acre peninsula on the Magothy River-off of the Chesapeake Bay, the glass house is originally priced at $7,900,000.
 
In Los Angeles, California, a multi-million dollar home was recently been sold. The luxury home, previously owned by American billionaire philanthropist, Eli Broad, is said to have a full glass walls to have a full a 360-degree view of the Manhattan skyline and the Central Park. The home was sold for $8 million to Bedford Falls.
 
The glass house at Ginn Lane, according to Concierge Auction, will sell to the highest bidder, “regardless of the price” — the Absolute auction format.
 
Located on a private peninsula — at the end of a private gated lane, the glass house features floor-to-ceiling glass walls in almost every room, an out-door in-ground pool, an ample patio place for lounges, manicured lawns, a putting green, a private beach, and a sports court.
 
The glass house also offers four bedrooms with 4.2 baths. The home was completed in 1987 and designed by Leo Delea Architect — and sat on 2.76 acre lot with 9,412 square feet living space.
 
According to the selling agent from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Betsy Stettinius, the owner of the glass house is fully committed to selling the property and willing to let the bidders to name the price. The owner just wants a guaranteed sale on May 6.
 
By appointment, the glass house will be open for preview daily between 1pm to 4pm, and a 3 percent commission will be given to the homebuyer’s broker.
