A deal worth up to $1 million was signed on the first morning of Gulf Industry Fair 2011.
The deal was done before visitors had begun arriving at the event.
Nanopool Middle East won the contract to supply its revolutionary liquid glass product with Bahrain-based Abdulla Khamees Mirror and Tempered Glass Factory.
Nanopool, a German company, is represented in Bahrain by Universe Projects.
"This product is used to coat glass in a manner that means the glass will resist dust and dirt and can avoid the need to be cleaned for up to a year," said Universe Projects senior project manager Jurgen Ziebell.
"We have been demonstrating and showcasing the product for about a year and now we are marketing it and people are coming to see us.
"It does not use any chemicals but is simply a silicon dioxide product," he said.
"This is our first visit to Gulf Industry Fair but we saw this as an excellent opportunity to promote this unique application and the show has already proved a success for us," he added.
"I can see that this product will improve our business both in household glass products and commercial buildings," said Abdulla Khamees Mirrors and Tempered Glass Factory general manager Anand Velamore.
"Gulf Industry Fair is a good place to do business and find products that can add value to our market."
