The photography of Richard Paul and the Fostoria glass from the collection of Bill Brakemeyer are featured in the Gathering Area of the First United Methodist Church through Wednesday.
Richard Paul said his love of photography began when he received his first camera and some cash for his 13th birthday. He bought a darkroom kit with the money and developed and printed his first pictures.
Paul said he thinks that while it is important to understand composition, color and tonal values, it is lighting that separates a snapshot from an artistic photograph. He said he feels that his most creative output is in the studio.
His photographs are in private collections and in commercial buildings in the Inland Empire.
The display case exhibits Fostoria glass from the collections of Bill Brakemeyer, with information about the glass.
The exhibit is open to the public 9 to 11:30 a.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. through Wednesday.
