"Saturday is normally not that busy, but this Saturday was incredible and today we will do way more business than we did last year and I expect the rest of the week to pan out that way," says Michael Eby, owner of Glass Doctor of St. Louis, located about ten miles from this weekend's significant storm damage.
St. Louis was the target of the country's latest natural disaster this past Friday. According to the national weather service, the tornado was the largest to hit St. Louis in 44 years and reports of hail and flying debris were common. The damage caused by the storm was on the news nationwide and now local auto glass businesses are helping to clean up.
On of the areas hit the hardest was St. Louis' Lambert Airport (read a related article here). Eby sent a technician out to do a job near the airport, who said the glass damage there will be felt for days to come.
"He said there were tons of cars in the parking lot with glass broken out. I guess people are out of town and don't even know their windows are broken yet," says Eby.
