Hundreds of people kicked off the second annual Glass Fest at the Corning Museum of Glass on Thursday night.

Patrons from all over the Twin Tiers didn't have to pay anything to get in, but extra food and drinks did cost money.
Visitors said the live musice and fun atmosphere were some of the reasons they decided to come.
Organizers say this weekend is a major economic boom for the region.
"It's a launch of the Horseheads tourist season for the summer months. It's also an opportunity for the region as a whole not just our downtown city of Corning to have an opportunity to see what we have available and bring people back," said Coleen Fabrizi, Executive Director of the Gaffer District.
"When they have this event every summer I try to make it and support the community in doing this. We always have a good time they have good music here I bring my wife and my kids out and we have a good time," said Frank Cherry, who's attended multiple events.
"It's kind of just a good time to hang out with friends and kick off the summer season. Wine's nice, food's nice, wine's extra nice!," said Chris Nitter, another 2300 Degree patron.
The Glass Fest runs through the entire weekend featuring a variety of activities includeing live glass making and a fine arts show.
