Works of art created in glass by artists working in San Luis Obispo County are featured in June and July in an exhibit titled “Glass Act II” in the Gallery at the Network in San Luis Obispo
This marks the second time local glass artists have combined their works for a special show in the gallery
Artists represented include Mike Apfel, Rod Baker and Bryn Bridenthal and Sher Roberts of Two Sisters Glass
Other artists exhibiting in the show are Sheri Klein, Rich and Kersti Lasiewski of Canyon Art, Larry Le Brane, Diane Miller, Richard Mortensen, Kami Oisboid and Janine Stillman
While the majority of pieces are functional, some are the result of purely artistic enjoyment and creativity
Works include jewelry, plates and platters, wine glasses, paper weights, crosses, wind chimes, clocks, salt and pepper shakers and more
The public can meet the artists at a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, during Art After Dark festivities at downtown galleries and exhibit spaces. Refreshments will be served.
The Gallery at the Network, 778 Higuera St., Suite B, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
