On 6-9 June Expocentre and the Union of Russian Architects are running the 13th International Exhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology Mir Stekla'2011 (the World of Glass).
Today Mir Stekla is the largest glass industry event in Russia, the CIS and East European countries. Its high reputation is confirmed with the Approved Event Logos of UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF – the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
The exhibition is held under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Moscow City Government in close cooperation with leading European industry associations: GIMAV – the Association of Italian Manufacturers and Suppliers of Machinery, Equipment and Special Products for Glass Processing; and VDMA – the German Machinery and Plant Manufacturing Association.
This year the exhibition will occupy the space of 5,000 sq. m (net) in Pavilions No. 1 and the Forum at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The exhibition will be clearly structured according to the feature areas.
The Forum Pavilion will, as usual, accommodate the stands of the largest and most renowned domestic and overseas companies, which will be showcasing the newest and most diverse glass products. At the same pavilion the art and decorative glass section will be showing original ideas and state-of-the-art trends in art, design, architectural appearance, and interior and tableware design.
Pavilion No. 1 will provide a comprehensive display of glass manufacturing, processing and finishing technologies and equipment.
Over 250 companies and firms from 25 countries will be showcasing their achievements at the exhibition. China, Germany and Italy will take part in it with their national pavilions.
The participants in the exhibition will include renowned overseas companies such as AGR, Emhart Glass, Bridgestone, Lisec, Sisecam, Tenax, Bystronic, Pilkington, Dйcor Glass, as well as more than 130 Russian exhibitors, including Steklopack, Salavatsteklo, Steklo-Centr, Adem, Kami-Complekt, HFD-House, Glaston, Meran, Ogneupor-Garant.
During the event the exhibitors will be running presentations of new products, innovations and inventions.
The programme of business-related events will feature a seminar on the current situation and trends in the Russian glass packaging market and a round table New Regulations for the Glass Industry; Their Impact on the Market.
The programme of events will finish with an award ceremony celebrating the winners of Russia's first Glass in Architecture competition with the National Award made to the best implemented glass project.
The exhibition is open from 10.00 to 18.00; on 9 June - from 10.00 to 16.00.
