(China Glass Network) Float glass is of poor market in the country recently and the price reduced sharply. It’s said that the price of float glass reduced 6 RMB/box in total of Hebei Shahe, Hunan and Hubei 4 RMB/box, Jiangsu Zhangjiagang 4 RMB/box, Bengbu 3 RMB/box. Shandong Juye carries preferential benefit on part of the customers, the decline is about 2-3 RMB each box. Factories of Zhejiang, Guangdong and other provinces takes flexibility actions to adapt to the market, the price declines slightly. In a word, sales of float glass is relatively low and the stock is beyond demand of the market.
By now the internal cause of sharply decline in float glass are as follows:
Firstly, terminal requirements of the products is poor, which influenced by the national macro-control policy.
Secondly, oversupply leading by expansion of production capacity.
Lastly , the purchasing desire of customers is not so urgent because of the coming plum rain season.
In addition, soda ash, heavy oil, coal and other upstream raw material of glass has a slight upward trend in prices, the price of glass productions by part of companies has reached the deadline. It’s predicted that the rigid demand of glass is difficult to go up in a short time, but with support of price rising in raw materials, the space of recession in price of downstream products will not be much larger.
