TAIPEI, June 21 (Reuters) - Taiwan stocks rose 0.48 percent on Tuesday, tracking regional bourse gains, with glass and cement makers trading higher.
The main TAIEX index opened up 41.25 points at 8,571.93, boosted by 1.36 percent gains each in glass and cement shares.
The main index dropped had 1.22 percent to a nearly three-month closing low in the prior session.
The Taiwan dollar rose to T$28.932 from the T$29 closing level on Monday.
Foreign investors were net sellers on Monday, bringing their total selling to T$33 billion this month.
