The market for glass packaging is developing rather well at the beginning of the second half of 2011, similar to the first months of the year. Plants’ operating rates are solid and stocks are at stable levels, according to EUWID respondents. Nonetheless glassworks had banked on better order levels for this period. However, since the beverage sector is particularly sensitive to the weather and outside influences companies have little control over deliveries.
