The city Sustainability Committee will host an informational meeting on the current situation and challenges of the local glass recycling program Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall, corner of Third and Rose. The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in glass recycling is encouraged to attend.
The committee is hosting the meeting to bring together stakeholders who produce glass waste -- residents and businesses alike -- as well as those who could potentially use recycled glass or provide a needed logistical element.
People who cannot attend the meeting are encouraged to submit comments and ideas to the city's sustainability coordinator, Melissa Warner, at mwarner@ci.walla-walla.wa.us or 524-4549.
