A new energy saving glass windows has been recently developed by Safestyle-windows, a manufacturing company for energy home products and uPVC double glazing, for the coming heavy storm and snow weathers — much colder season for the month of February until March of 2011, according to weather forecasts. The glass windows, according to company information, are said to fight weather changes and keep family homes warm on winter and cool during summers.
Another green home product that could help save energy and keeps the home warm during winters — carpets. According to a recent study, aside from energy saving glass windows and doors, carpets increase the measure of thermal resistance inside the house, because it provides insulation, which makes homes warmer during winters and cooler during summers.
The glass windows’ manufacturer, Safestyle, has updated the previous version of its energy saving window — Diamond window, upgraded it to what they called energiSave Diamond Window, which is said to set new standards in energy efficiency — another sustainable product.
The newly updated glass windows are said to be twice as energy-saving compared to the previous version, and to a standard and existing double glazing windows that are available in the market.
According to company information, the glass windows work by preventing cold or heat to pass through the glass. The windows uses argon gas-filled units, which is said to reduce heat loss by reducing convective and conductive heat transfers.
The glass windows are said to help reduce energy consumption and bills.
A non-profit organization jointly funded by the British Government and the private sector in order to help fight climate change — Energy Saving Trust, certified the new glass windows as “Energy Saving Recommended”.
