Use clear glass on your office windows and make sure people outside could see what’s going on inside your establishment, a police station commander said. Senior Supt. Marcelino Pedrozo, Quezon City Police District Station 4 head made this advise following a robbery at a travel agency located in a crowded area in Novaliches on Thursday afternoon. He said no one noticed when four robbers struck at Manjunioan Travel and Tour Agency at the corner of Goldstar and General Luis streets at around 2:30 p.m. The suspects, who posed as customers, took off with the agency’s P30,000 day sales and three cell phones of the employees. Gyn Barrientos, operations manager of the travel agency, said the suspects were armed with high-powered firearms. Pedrozo said no one noticed the robbery despite the presence of a lot of people outside the office because its windows were heavily tinted and cluttered with tarpaulin posters. He added the travel agency also had no security guard and closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras which, he said, had been required by the city as part of its counter measures. Pedrozo explained that covering or using dark shades for glass windows also attracts robbers. Read more: newsinfo.inquirer.net/88323/offices-warned-use-clear-glass-on-windows-to-prevent-robbery |
