As the exhibition moves through its second day, Gulf Glass 2011 is proving attractive to senior glass industry representatives from around the world.
ADNEC, the state-of-the-art venue for this year’s show is proving an impressive environment with organisers and exhibitors alike, and although numbers are currently constant with the most recent events, the event has seen a steady stream of visitors over the first day and a half with over 35 countries represented.
“We haven’t seen quite as many extra visitors so far as we had hoped” admits Des Burston, Event Manager for Gulf Glass 2011. “Attendance has been partially affected by the recent unrest and unsettled nature in the region. However, we have seen an excellent balance of visitors from both the surrounding region and further afield and the overriding opinion and comment from exhibitors is that they are pleased with the quality of visitors, and happy with the meetings they have experienced.”
“The most important thing from any exhibition is not just filling the aisles with students and non-decision makers, but ensuring that the key buyers are the ones that turn up” he adds.
Gulf Glass 2011 runs until 5pm on Wed 9th March. More information, free visitor admission tickets and all the latest news can be found on the show´s dedicated website www.glassinthegulf.com
