Hong Kong-based Xinyi Glass Holdings (HKG:0868) on Tuesday reported first-half 2013 revenues of HKD 864.8 million (USD 111.5m/EUR 84.5m) from its solar glass segment, rising from HKD 799.4 million a year before.
The float and solar glass products maker said that demand in Europe had suffered from the solar conflict between the European Union (EU) and China but demand from China, Japan and North America increased considerably.
The solar glass segment's gross profit in January-June increased to HKD 224.6 million from HKD 157 million in the year-ago period. At the end of June, the segment had total assets of HKD 2.34 billion, while its liabilities were HKD 246.9 million.
