Quanex says $107M Edgetech acquisition to close on or before April 1
HOUSTON (AP) -- Quanex Building Products Corp. said Friday that its previously announced acquisition of Edgetech I.G. Inc. will close on or before April 1.
Houston-based Quanex is paying $107 million in cash for Edgetech, which makes insulating glass spacer systems for multi-pane windows and doors. Edgetech's products separate and seal double and triple pane glass within a window and further act as a thermal barrier to conserve energy. The Cambridge, Ohio-based company has factories in the U.S., Britain and Germany.
Quanex makes engineered materials, parts and systems for the U.S. residential window and door markets. Shares rose 13 cents to close at $19.10.
