Drujba Glassworks net profits and revenue rise in H1
Bulgarian glassware and bottle maker Drujba Glassworks has reported that its consolidated net profit rose to 8.1 million BGN (4.95 million USD/4.15 million EUR) in the first half of 2017, from 6.4 million BGN in the same period of 2016.
Sales revenue increased to 97.5 million BGN from January to June, an increase from the 93.9 million BGN recorded in the corresponding period of last year. The company’s operating profit fell to 30.4 million BGN in the period under review, a decrease from 32.4 million BGN a year earlier. Financial expenses dropped to 1.8 million BGN in the first half, a marked decrease from 5.1 million BGN in the same period last year.
Portugal's BA Vidro directly and indirectly owns 99.8 percent of Drujba Glassworks' share capital as of August. Drujba Glassworks has two production units, one in Sofia and the other in Plovdiv.
