Giroux Glass worked closely with Swinerton Builders, the general contractor; the architects at SOM; Trulite, who provided glass; and PRL, who supplied frames and sliders, all used to construct curtain wall, entrance doors, and sliding doors throughout the new gym.

By Abdul Aziz Zoua: Our High-End Design team and I, as the project manager, recently wrapped-up glass and glazing work for an upscale, private gym space in Century City. The gym is perched atop a parking structure, open to eye-catching views of the sun rising and setting on the beautiful Los Angeles cityscape.

Giroux Glass worked closely with Swinerton Builders, the general contractor; the architects at SOMTrulite, who provided glass; and PRL, who supplied frames and sliders, all used to construct curtain wall, entrance doors, and sliding doors throughout the new gym.

Thanks to our crew of Union glaziers (listed below) for completing the job within a limited time frame on-site, in addition to time spent on fabrication and submittals. This particular job was completed on schedule largely due to the conscientious efforts of our Giroux Glass glaziers on-site.

One of the most pertinent challenges that our teams and I face can be meeting project end-date targets. There always seems to be some kind of potential road block that could put us at risk to miss a deadline, but with proper communication with the project teams, vendors, the architect, and by closely monitoring the project schedule, it becomes a challenge that excites us and compels us to achieve.

Thanks also to Jenny Jimenez, our CAD technician, and to Rob Carter, who estimated this project. Behind a beautiful end-product is a tight team who made it happen by working together.
