The unusual challenge for the glazing was that the maisonettes were not able to have windows along the sides. This required the creative use of rooflights and lightwells to provide plenty of natural light.
For the windows, inlcluding the large glazed frontage, Spectrum Architectural Glazing installed Internorm HF210 Home Pure windows, triple-glazed with acoustic specification, achieving 42dB noise reduction.
They also used the same Internorm windows for the lightwells plus HS330 sliding doors. All the INternorm windows were composite with spruce timber inside and powder-coated aluminium on the outside.
For the rooflights Spectrum used the Solarlux Wintergarden system.
Other products used included Internorm HS330 composite sliding doors and Solarlux Akzent Plus wintergardens and rooflights. The finish is RAL7016 Anthracite Grey on the outside, and natural spruce timber on the inside.
