Balustrade Components, one of the UK’s leading balustrade fixings solutions providers, recently secured exclusive UK distribution of the AMG Frameless Architectural Glass Balustrade Systems.

The AMG Railing solutions complements and expands Balustrade Components existing portfolio of architectural glass hardware solutions.

This latest addition means Balustrade Components now offer an extensive collection of glass hardware for all types of glass railing requirements, whether post and clamp fixed railings or frameless glass balustrades, standoff solutions, all of which can be finished off perfectly with a choice of handrail.

Having worked with AMG for several months leading up to the agreement Managing Director of Balustrade Components, Paul Startin was impressed with the quality and experience of the Dutch based business AMG.  Paul comments,

‘It was clear from our initial meetings with AMG that they have a great wealth of knowledge when it comes to providing balustrade solutions, what stood out for me though was the quality of the products and what great value for money the products offer.  I was aware of their experience of designing and installing stunning glass balustrades across Europe.’

The AMG Frameless Glass Balustrade System is an extremely practical option for the project specification process, creating beautifully elegant frameless glass railings that really maximises the use of glass, and can be either side or base mounted.

AMG has completed projects across Europe and in the UK, like The Corniche, a residential development designed by Foster & Partners, situated on the banks of the river Thames London, in sight of the Houses of Parliament.

The AMG system has been tested for safety by notified bodies across Europe, Meeting the regulations of the Nederlands Bouwbesluit 2012, French CSTB of the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment, German AbP: ‘Allgemeines bauaufsichtliches Prüfzeugnis’.

AbP is a German abbreviation referring to the “General Building Codes Test Certificate” and working on a project-by project base on static calculations in the UK. The British Standard tests are in progress, together with Balustrade Components Ltd.
