On March 1 WIPRO System GmbH & Co. KG began using the SBZ 628 XL, a new profile machining centre which is unique in Europe and features a combination of a rotation module and two saw units mounted at 90° to each other, reducing costs and saving time. It also makes the conservatory manufacturer from Brehna, near Leipzig, a technological pioneer in the industry.
"This ribbon-cutting ceremony and first production run of our new machining centre mark the start of a new era of industrial manufacturing for us", said company founder Axel Frömert as he inaugurated the SBZ 628 XL together with Thomas Wünsch, State Secretary at the Sachsen-Anhalt Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalisation, which had helped fund the purchase of the machining centre.
Wipro has been an elumatec customer for 18 years, and the SBZ 628 is the third elumatec profile machining centre to be used by the conservatory manufacturer.
"I am delighted that Wipro is once again placing its faith in our technology. We are constantly developing innovative ideas in order to supply our customers with the best-possible products, and we are very pleased to help Wipro secure a competitive advantage in the market", said Volker Klüber, elumatec Head of Sales Germany.
