The new Schüco CSB (Concealed Shaped Blind) sun shading made from aluminium louvre blades on rollers functions reliably even at wind force 9-10. With a level of transparency of over 23%, the user retains the link to the outside world even when the blind is completely closed.
As external sun shading that is fully integrated in the Schüco FWS 50/60 façade system, Schüco CSB offers a shading solution that heavily reduces solar heat gain in buildings on sunny days. This is also the case on days with strong winds, as the sun shading on rollers can withstand wind speeds of up to 25 m/s (force 9-10 on the Beaufort scale).
This is all thanks to the extruded aluminium louvre blades, which remain stable in the guide tracks integrated in the cover caps. The high level of transparency of 23% is achieved through the combination of the louvre blade shape and louvre blade punched holes.
Complete shading of direct solar radiation is provided when the angle of the sun is greater than 21°. The blind is available in anodised colours C0 and C31 to C35; it can therefore fit in perfectly with the external design of the building or add colourful touches.
Fabrication and installation benefits
Schüco CSB sun shading is integrated into SchüCal software, making it easy to configure versatile units. At 4.6 kg/m2, the blind is a sun shading lightweight. It is supplied rolled up on the drive shaft and therefore ready for installation.
All that is left for the fabricator to do is cut the side guide tracks. As the slide-in guide is integrated in the blind covers at the side, the fabricator is saved the time-consuming step of inserting the side rubbing strips into the guide tracks.
Fabricators can also save themselves the lengthy manual process of setting the end stop: the top and bottom end position of the blind are set by the user when using it for the first time by means of an installed load cut-off in the motor.
Furthermore, the automatic end stop setting including obstacle detection prevents damage to the CSB sun shading caused by incorrect handling.
