The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan is extremely concerned about the fire safety conditions of high buildings in the Crimea area. In fact, during the period 2016-2018, 333 fires occurred in apartment buildings.
According to analyses, there are 113 houses of this category, with unsatisfactory fire-protection conditions. Particularly worrying is the state of fire protection for houses of high number of storeys located on the territory of Yalta and Simferopol.
It is also reported that over the years, not enough funds have been allocated for the repair and maintenance of fire-fighting systems in multi-family residential buildings of high storeys, which pose an immediate threat to life and health of people.
Among the biggest violations of fire safety requirements, the Ministry of Emergency Situations called the absence of automatic fire alarms, smoke removal systems and air support, lack of reinforced glazing, lack of maintenance contracts for APS and much more.
"In addition, management companies at a low level organized work to educate the population of multi-family residential buildings on fire safety requirements.
