UNION CITY, Pa. — A company that makes fiberglass-reinforced structures plans to add up to 50 people to a plant that already employs 125 in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Molded Fiber Glass Co. tells the Meadville Tribune newspaper that it will add the employees soon at its plant in Union City. That's about 25 miles southeast of Erie.

The company known as MFG is based in Asthabula, Ohio and has 13 plants in the United States and Mexico.

The Union City plant makes large parts for parts for construction, truck, military, locomotive and other industries.

James Roche, the plant's marketing coordinator, says the new workers are being hired because some customers want "to add more products to what we make for them."
