MILTON, W.Va. -- The 4th annual Festival of 
Glass on Aug. 5 and 6 will celebrate Blenko Glass Co.'s 90th anniversary with limited edition pieces, glassblowing demonstrations, classes in glass and tours of the glass factory.
Glass on Aug. 5 and 6 will celebrate Blenko Glass Co.'s 90th anniversary with limited edition pieces, glassblowing demonstrations, classes in glass and tours of the glass factory.Three limited-edition pieces will go on sale at 8 a.m. Aug. 6: a 14-inch high cobalt blue vase for $85; a 15-inch high cinnamon red fiddle for $65; and a 10 1/2-inch high rainbow celebration vase for $48. Sales are limited to one per person of each style.
A special guest demonstration will be given by Ron Hinkle of Ron Hinkle Glass in Upshur County. He, too, will have a limited-edition piece of a 4-inch tall "Cosmos Bottle" for $38.
Guided factory tours will be given at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Aug. 5 and 6.
Classes will be offered in making stained-glass ornaments to a blown-glass candy dish. Several are suitable for children, including glass clock, small dale mosaic, stepping stone mosaic and dichroic glass pendant.
