Asahi India Glass has reported a marginal increase in consolidated net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011 to Rs 2.79 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 2.78 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal, Asahi India Glass said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Total income during the first quarter this fiscal went up by 17.81 per cent to Rs 400.41 crore from Rs 339.87 crore in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, the company shares ended 1.79 per cent down at Rs 82.10 on the BSE today.
