Innovative systems for modern glass processing
At Vitrum 2011 in Milan the Bystronic glass group will inform about its innovative system solutions for the modern processing of glass. At stand L22 in hall 13 the customers will get an overview about the latest machinery for architectural glass cutting, for the manufacturing of insulating glass and laminated glass, for the preprocessing of automotive glass and for the production of photovoltaic modules.
Glass cutting: speed’cut
speed’cut is the new float glass cutting table for the dynamic shape cutting with maximum precision. With a speed of up to 300 metres per minute and an acceleration of up to six metres per square second the machine guarantees a quick processing of cutting plans including rectangles and shapes. The low weight of the cutting bridge leads to a 20 % reduction in energy use for acceleration and braking. Multiple cutting oil circuits for different glasses as well as an automatic tool changer make operational manual interventions almost unnecessary. speed'cut is a float glass cutting table of the newest generation which provides the opportunity to configure a complete cutting solution – for example with the loader and a manual breaking solution or in combination with the cutting table first’lamicut for laminated glass.
Laminated glass manufacturing: eco’convect
eco’convect is a revolutionary pre-nip system for the manufacture of high quality laminated glass of all kinds. It is a completely new heating and press system that works with significantly reduced cycle times while being suitable also for shaped formats and multifunctional glasses. The innovative technology enables a homogeneous heat input, which is clear to see in the quality of the end product. The eco'convect allows highly-reflective, coated glasses to be processed together with float glass as with strengthened glass and tempered glasses. The new core of the laminated glass production processes all common film types such as PVB, EVA and SentryGlas® (by DuPont) and easily creates complex glass constructions. Thanks to the innovative radiant heater technology, the eco’convect consumes up to 50 percent less energy than comparable machines. Complex glass constructions can easily be reproduced via the Laminoptic formulation management system. As a result, jobs that pose a challenge to other machines can be carried out quickly and easily on the eco'convect.
Insulating glass manufacturing: speed’sealer
speed'sealer is a high-speed sealing machine for insulating glass units. The new machine seals windows and facade elements at a maximum flow rate, whilst at the same time, offers the highest application speed. For the first time in the industry, it is possible, even with different production conditions, to actively and consistently mix the two sealant material components, thanks to a dynamic mixer. The speed'sealer operates both quickly and extremely precisely. The machine seals double and triple insulating glass units at high-speed with a consistently convincing quality. This is achieved regardless of the sealing material selected, variations in material quality or temperature, or even straight after production commences. The constant mixing ratio of the two adhesive components is monitored electronically. In addition, the self-cleaning dynamic mixer prevents any clogging of the mixing section eliminating the need to clean the external rinsing cabinet. The high-precision dosing technology ensures a highly accurate, volume controlled application of the sealing material together with immediate adjustments in volumes where the joint depths vary.
