SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Eden Revisited Exhibit at the Visual Arts Center of the Washington Pavilion is showcasing the glass sculptures of Kathleen Elliot.

There are several pieces in display cases while others are hanging on the wall.

Elliot began flameworking, a glass working technique in 1996. The process is used to make highly specialized laboratory glassware. The glass is heated by a lamp or torch and is then manipulated with tweezers, forceps, knives and other small tools. It’s a process that goes all the way back ancient Syria.

Elliot began making botanical sculptures in 2003

The exhibit is open until August 25.
