Norwegian module maker Innotech Solar is presenting its polycrystalline ITS Economy series of modules at Intersolar.
The solar glass in the modules is specially textured to reduce reflections. The anti-reflective glass is said to increase module yields over those from conventional solar glass, particularly when the sun is low, as in the evening hours or winter months.
Innotech Solar uses solar cells in its modules that were originally rejected but then repaired in a multistage process to give them back their efficiency. This makes module manufacture particularly economical in energy and resources.
The Economy Modules are produced in Sweden and have been obtainable Europe-wide since June, in the 200, 210, 220 and 230-watt power classes. They are particularly suitable for on-roof arrays, are fitted with MC plugs, and carry a five-year product warranty. Guaranteed output is 90 percent of the specified minimum for ten years and 80 percent for 25 years.
