(Tokyo, Japan) -- Engineers at Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant are trying another remedy to stop the flow of radioactive water escaping through a large crack.
The Deputy Director of the Nuclear and Industrial Safety agency says it didn't appear a mixture of sawdust, newspaper and concrete was going into the crack, so now they're using liquid glass.
They still don't know how the water is leaking from reactor Number 2.
Tokyo Electric is also releasing low-level radioactive seawater into the Pacific to keep it from flooding the generators powering the cooling systems at the plant's reactors.
The water was used to cool overheated fuel rods.
Engineers hope to complete the project by Friday.
