Sponsored by China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association and supported by Jiangsu Xiuqiang Glass Technology Co., Ltd., the first discussion on industrial standard of Safety Production Regulations for Processed Glass was successfully held in Wenzhou on Mar.21st, 2011 with attendees including leaders Baiheng Zhang, secretary-general and Hui Li, deputy secretary-general from China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, Yanzheng Zhang, general manager from Tianjin Yaohua-Pilkington Glass Co., Ltd., and Jianjun Yang from Xinyi(Glass) Group, and 25 experts in glass industry and representors from all the main processed glass enterprises.
This conference was hosted by Xiaochang Ding, from the insulating and coated glass professional committee secretariat of China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association. Secretary-general, Baiheng Zhang, thanked all the experts for taking the time to join in this conference on behalf of the glass association and meanwhile introduced the running conditions of industrial economic.
Baiheng Zhang stated that the period from January to November of 2010 is a best developed year throughout the glass industry history. However, the enhancing function of real estate for glass industry has weakened because of the control policy. Meanwhile, with the increased cost, under the circumstances of oversupply and unbalanced sales-output ratio, some enterprises strengthen their competition at the cost of quality. What is more, some large-scale enterprises pay all the attention to price when they choose the raw materials. Although choosing unqualified products could help them compete by the sales price reduction, this is bad for the self-development and the industrial healthy development.
Baiheng Zhang Stated that safety production is the theme and base for enterprises development forever no matter in a slump or in the peaking period.
In the recent three years, most of the large-scale enterprises could control the injury rate by ≤2.5‰ and some great big group could control it by ≤0.6‰. However, there are also some enterprises leaders who ignore the thought of ‘safety first, precaution crucial’ and just focus on instant benefit in result that staff injury and property loss happen frequently. Therefore, the manage thought of production first and safety behind will bring big loss.
What is more, during the conference, Hui Li, the deputy secretary-general of CAIGA has introduced the founding background and formulation procedure of this standard to all the representatives. Jian Zhou, the general manager from Jiangsu Xiuqiang Glass Technology Co., Ltd. has made a speech on behalf of all the assistant enterprises.
Last but not least, all the experts at this conference has discussed this standard word by word and confirmed the formulation procedure. After the conference, the drafter revised the standard according to the advice of all the experts. We believe that the standard will be a guide for all the glass fabricators and make a great contribution for the glass industry.
